About the Climate Change Projections

The Climate Change Projections report is one of four scientific reports that have been published on UKCP09. This report is aimed at those who want a more detailed understanding of the methodology behind the production of UKCP09 probabilistic projections.

While this report does show some examples of climate projections for the UK, its main focus is on providing background information on UKCP09 and the methodology that was used to produce the projections.

The full set of UKCP09 projections is available through the  User Interface with key findings presented in the Briefing Report and on the Maps and Key Findings section.

What to use it for

The Climate Change Projections report should be used to:

  • Understand the methodology behind the UKCP09 probabilistic projections
  • Find out more about the projections themselves so that they can be used to support impacts and adaptation assessments.
  • See some of the key findings for climate projections for the UK.
